In other news, I don't believe for a moment that this guy was primarily interested in saving endangered birds.  There were other ways to eliminate the presence of the cat.  Outside of life & death situations, e.g., a hungry bear emerging from the woods to menace your toddler in your backyard, there are always other ways.  Truth: the guy had a gun and seized upon what he regarded as a nominally defensible opportunity to kill something with it.  Happens all the time...but most target practice animals don't have a human advocate.  Tough luck, buddy.

[Unecessarily stupid comment (of mine) removed]. One day, with help, I will learn to fully engage my brain before opening my pie-hole. I apologize.

It's Texas. Of course he went to the gun option sooner than you or I would have. However, I'm sorry, but I keep hearing about how bad the feral cat problem is by the ASPCA and I think this is a waste of taxpayer's money. That's about all the feelings I have on this, it seems.
